Double Down

For the long-awaited return of the Double Down, we embodied the craziness of an all-chicken, no bread sandwich with equally crazy and over the top social videos. By tapping into social conversations and using lo-fi production techniques, we created uniquely organic feeling ads for a product that lent itself to lots of online discussion. We even created a song to the tune of Bubble Butt by Major Lazer that was used across TV and social!

We used social conversation around the sandwich to fuel how we brought it back, by letting users “decide” (KFC was going to bring it back regardless) through a poll day before the announcement if KFC should bring back the fan favorite. Throughout the product window we used relevant social trending moments and evergreen posts based on insight to continue to promote Double Down’s availability.
